Richard asks…
HOW DO I lose fat in the calf and thigh area?!?
You see, my calves and thighs are “jiggly”. If I stand up, my calves tense up. but those, it’s mostly fat. Is the jiggly area fat or just something else? How can I eliminate that jiggly part of my leg?
Currently I’m running (jogging in slow pace) to about 4,000~7,000 steps almost everyday. I jog at a steady pace but keep the long distance as my main goal..Will that help me slim my legs at all? Or will it result in muscle replacing the fat? Also what do people mean by tone? I’ve read stuff about these, but is toning really like reducing the circumference around your calves and thighs or just resulting in a little more muscle added? I also jump rope about 1000 almost everyday possible. I jump by standing on my toes and jumping. Am I doing this right? Will this result in losing the fat around my thighs and calves or replace those fat by eliminating the fat and your muscles increase to make it look like it’s replaced your fat?
I really want to slim my legs because other people around me have skinnier legs then me, but I’m usually the one with pretty big legs…..please tell me there is a way!!
I’m a 14 year old BOY. I’ve heard that strength training works on women when it comes down to slimming the legs because they have lower testosterone levels then men do. So PLEASE make it so that it’s for MEN slimming the leg not the woman because I know there will be different outcomes if I were to do women‘s thigh or calf slimming workout…The circumference around my calves are 14.5 inches measured from the middle of my calves. My thighs are 22 inches for circumference at the upper thigh..
I ALREADY KNOW SPOT REDUCTION DOESN’T WORK.
MAIN QUESTIONS PLEASE ANSWER THEM
1) If I do the exercises that I mentioned up there, will it be
enough to see changes within a month? I’m not looking to build
muscle and burn the fat and have the muscle I had before grow
and make it like nothing really happening besides losing fat
and gaining more muscle…I really don’t want that
2) Does long distance running/jogging and jump roping 1000 times
gonna help slim my legs down? Do I need to do more? Or change
it? Please let me know..I really don’t want muscular legs.
3) I just wanna know if the circumference of my
thigh and calf will decrease in circumference inches or
increase in circumference or stay the same, just killing the
fat and muscle growing more to make it look like it has
replaced the fat…
4) How do I really slim those legs, not put muscle into the mix
but just slim it down…if I become catabolic will my calf and
thigh circumference go down?
5) Does long distance make your legs slimmer? In this case
decrease the circumference or increase it by a little with the
fat burned off and muscle grown to make it look like it replaced it?
6) What about jump roping? Doesn’t that create calves? I’m trying
to cut off my muscular calves down and cutting fat off my
thighs….HOW CAN I DO THIS?!
7) Will overdoing cardio exercise cause your muscle to shrink?
Will doing cardio exercise in the morning cause it to burn
the muscle rather than the fat?
8)How much fat do I really have to lose all over my upper body if my legs were the last place to lose fat?
Please help me…I’m really desperate to get skinny legs..mine are big.

GetSlimFast answers:
Wow! How long did it take you to enter this question. It’s along one.
First off, it appears as though you have the proper goals in mind and lots of knowledge or information about your subject and are confused about the outcome. Increasing the length and thereby the duration of your workouts, you will see improvements. Second, are you tying your workouts to a proper diet? I am not talking about dieting, but eating good food and not overeating. You can exercise all you want, but without a proper food intake, all your work will be for naught.
All I have to say is:
A.) It will take some time to see what you want. Do not get impatient.
B.) Do not judge what you look like or how you want to look by what other people look like around you. You do not know how healthy those “skinny” folks really are.
1.) Will you see improvements within a month? Honestly, you will probably not see the improvement yourself because the changes are so gradual. People who see you once a week will notice.
2.) Yes, long distance running & jogging work. Have you ever seen a heavy long distance runne?
3.) Your leg muscles will change depending upon the type of workout that you do. I think the regimen that you have discussed will decrease your leg measurements. After all, you are not talking about heavy lifting.
4.) Catabolic? Stop reading all those muscle mags with their B.S. Terms. Aerobic activity, like you have already described will help slim you down.
5.) Same answer for #2 above.
6.) Same answer for jumping rope in #3 above.
7.) Huh? Where did that come from? Do you mean consume muscle? If you become a marathon runner, then you will have to worry. You are far from this condition.
8.) You will see the fat burn off your legs first, followed by that around your belly and hips. It works from the extremities in towards the body.
So after all this, remember that if all you want are skinny legs and you are attempting to compare their measurements to other people around you, you may wind up disappointed. I think that if you drop 10% from the circumference of your leg measurements within 2 to 3 months you are doing very well. Honestly, if your legs do not slim down, but firm up, then you have won anyway.
GOOD LUCK!

Ken asks…
Calories and Calories Fat?
Okay, so I know there are already some questions similar to mine. But I’m still unsure. Recently, I decided to do Calorie intake recording. But in order for me to do this, I still don’t understand what it means when it says Calories, then right beside it, it says calories from fat.
Does this mean that the calories apart from the calories themselves, are all you are getting, or is that with the calories?
Like, i had a whole wheat bagel. Calories were 110, but Calories from fat was 10. So am I actually getting 120 calories? Or am I getting 10 out of the 110 ?
Sorry for my arrogance but I need this explained to me :/
OH and one more thing, this has nothing to do with the calories, well maybe it does….
I have no idea how many calories I consume everyday in order to cut back.So I’m pretty much setting a number for myself.
For someone who is tiny, like me, I’m 4″11 ( Don’t hate the small people ), 17 years old, how many calories should I take in and burn during work outs? Opinions anyone? ![]()
It says that women should have an intake to calories from 1,200 – 1,500. But I’m small, so maybe I need less than that ??
I’m desperate to lose stubborn thigh fat if you know what I mean, ladies…. ugh. Well, thank you to help those though who answer and helps me out !!
Much appreciated.

Calories from fat ar what get you fat. Heres an example, a donut has 200 calories, 180 are from fat, so that thing will fuuuu… You up lol. You’l be fat. If it’s low though, like 10 from 100 thats 10% or less from fat, it’s super healthy.
Ok i checked that calorie intake for you, you didnt say your weight but thats fine anyway. 4’11, 100 pounds, you should eat 1500 calories a day, if your 120 then 1700, anywhere between 100-120, is 1600. Ok?!?!? =D btw truth of the matter is noone can eat less than 1200. It’s all weight based, and height but weight is what counts. Im guessing your slim aha so yeah i told you those 2 calorie intakes, one of thems yours

Donald asks…
how to lose arm fat without gaining muscle?
Sure u can burn off all that pesky arm fat but u gain muscle instead…and being a woman, i’d like to look like one…sorry to those women out there who like to look buff..but its just not for me~~ anyone have any tips on how to lose the fat without gaining muscle? theres gotta be a way~~ same with the thigh area….asian women tend to have the nice, thin arm, thin leg thing without muscles..prolly genetics…*Sigh* any help?

GetSlimFast answers:
Hi, first of all you shouldn’t worry too much about gaining muscle. You will not gain muscle easily, it takes a lot of work.
The second thing is that just working your arms is not going to help you to lose arm fat. Fat, regardless where it is on the body is lost through burning calories. The best way to burn calories is to do exercises that are going to impact your whole body. This will mean that you will burn fat all over.
The other problem is that when you first start to exercise, one of the first things that you lose is muscle, and not necessarily fat. You need to avoid this, and this means doing some body weight exercises.
So start doing some free squats and some push ups. If you can’t do normal push ups, try having your knees on the floor. These exercises will keep your arms and legs toned. Again don’t worry about getting muscle, because it won’t happen unless you do a lot more work.
Even in the unlikelihood that you start seeing a bit of muscle, just drop back on the training a little.
